Molecular Mechanism of Host and Microbe Interactions

Pathogenic microbe including viruses, bacteria, fungi and parasites cause many infectious diseases and are main threat to human health. We are particularly interested in the molecular interface of host-microbe interactions involved apoptosis, autophagy, necrosis and inflammatory responses. The pathogens we are currently working with include Zika virus and Gram-positive bacteria Listeria monocytogenes.

We are using molecular biological, cell biological, biochemical and structural biological methods in our study. We are also committed to drug discovery for the immunotherapy of microbial infections.
